How to be a Minimalist Podcast: Episode 12. How to Create a Morning and Nightly Routine

Creating a morning and nightly routine are an essential part of maintaining your minimalist ideal. But they don’t have to be super time-consuming and rigid. Getting a few things done at night and again in the morning can have you ready to sleep well and also conquer your day. On top of that, you’ll much more easily be able to keep your home peaceful and minimalist.

How to be a Minimalist Podcast Episode 11. Rejecting Conformity

In this episode, my husband is back and we’re talking all about the steps we’ve taken to create the reality we want to live. It’s easy to give in to the pressures of living conventionally, but that hasn’t brought us happiness or satisfaction. From practicing minimalism and simple living to swapping our sticks and bricks home for a home on wheels, we’ve decided we’re going to make choices we think will bring us the best possible life.

Good Omens by Gaiman and Pratchett (affiliate link — no cost to you, but thank you for your support!) was one of the best books I’ve read in a while. Full of witty humor, I loved the characters, the premise of the apocalypse is always interesting, and the idea of an angel that doesn’t want to be 100% good and a demon that doesn’t want to be 100% bad is both entertaining and thought-provoking.

How to be a Minimalist Podcast: Episode 10. Minimalist Shopping Tips

It’s easy to practice minimalism … if you stay in your house and never leave. And never go onto any shopping websites or apps. These tips should help you to stay on track with your minimalist goals when you happen to have to go shopping. They’re habits I’ve been working on developing for years — some of which I admittedly still struggle with, but all of them have been helpful to me at one point or another.
