How to be a Minimalist Podcast: Episode 10. Minimalist Shopping Tips

It’s easy to practice minimalism … if you stay in your house and never leave. And never go onto any shopping websites or apps. These tips should help you to stay on track with your minimalist goals when you happen to have to go shopping. They’re habits I’ve been working on developing for years — some of which I admittedly still struggle with, but all of them have been helpful to me at one point or another.

Podcast Episode 8. 10 Things I don’t Buy Anymore

Do you ever look through your stuff and wonder where it all came from and wish it had never appeared? There are a lot of things I regret purchasing. After slowly changing my ways, though, I now have a lot of things I simply don’t purchase anymore.

These things I list have freed up space, my time (since I don’t have to look after them), our finances — STUFF in general is expensive, people!! — and has reduced my stress. I hope this list gives you some ideas of things you might be ready to stop purchasing, too.

Episode 7. Lessons and Accomplishments of 2019

For me, there isn’t a better time to reflect on life than the end of the year. It brings such a sense of completion and closure, I can’t help but pause, contemplate, then decide how I want to move forward.

This way of thinking helps me to be excited for the beautiful moments I’ll have with my family and all the ways I can be productive in my creative work in the coming year.

Thanks for listening and allowing me to be a part of your life this year! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.

Podcast Episode 6. Letting Go

There are plenty of reasons to hold on to physical stuff…as well as annoyances, conversations and old hurts. There are even more reasons to let go of these things. Not only does letting go make room for things and thoughts we actually want to have around, but we are able to feel so much peace and live with less stress.

How to be a Minimalist Podcast Episode 3. Defining Your WHYS

It’s pretty hard to stick to anything if we don’t have a true understanding of WHY we’re trying to change a habit to transform our lives. Old habits die hard, and it’s easy to cave into the reasoning that suggests you don’t REALLY want to change.

Defining my whys in any goal has helped me to progress faster than anything else. It’s pretty incredible. You don’t have to read my thoughts on the topic, though! Listen to the podcast episode by hitting the play button below:

The Introduction Episode (Episode 1.) was all about how I got started and my way of sharing with you this adventure of minimalism my family and I have experienced. Now, it’s time to get on to the “How to” part of it all.

I love the holidays from Halloween through to the New Year, but more and more often, I hear from people that they don’t like the month of December. And it’s because it stresses them out.

While I thoroughly enjoy the holiday season, I’ve certainly felt that stress before. However, I didn’t want that lovely time of year to be ruined, and so, I decided to do something about it. I hope my tips and tricks can help you to have a beautiful holiday season!

Welcome to the How to be a Minimalist Podcast and YouTube Channel

How to be a Minimalist banner

I didn’t know that writing How to be a Minimalist with Kids: Finding YOUR Kind of Minimalism was just the beginning. And yet, the more I thought about it, the more I realized just how extremely passionate I was about living an experience-based life and writing a book series wasn’t enough. I knew there were endless possibilities of ways I could share with others what I’d learned.

Two years ago, I decided I wanted to create a podcast, and a year after that, I decided I’d better create a YouTube Channel to go with it. It wasn’t until 2019 that I decided I was going to turn those dreams into a reality and purchased a mic.

Whether you consider yourself a minimalist or not, I hope you take a look at my YouTube channel and have a listen to the podcast. Why? Because I think we’re all hoping to find paths to a more meaningful and experience-based life.
